by sp74bb inletter sent today to the ministry of justice... .
spain bethel sent a letter recently last oct 3 interpreting that no elder or sm should request a certificate of sexual offenses as other churches or persons in contact with kids.

Feeling very lonely
by BlackWolf inthe past few months i've been feeling really depressed and kind of hopeless.
the few people that actually were a little bit friendly to me at the hall recently moved away, and i'm feeling like more of an outcast than i already was.
every meeting i just stand by myself by the wall and nobody cares, i feel really lonely and unloved.

BlackWolf,
You appear to be one of the safest from this storm. You might be getting a little rain. I am a few hours south of you and if you would like any time to do lunch with a Grandmother just PM me it most definitely would be my pleasure. LOL, I was a much older parent and my kids tease me, my daughter is 25 and I am 65.
Your dad is probably blaming himself for you not having friends and now he feels it is all his fault. Never being a JW myself but reading a lot on this forum and other sites I have gathered being an Elder is not one of the easiest jobs. And the family has to keep up appearances for his sake. I sorta get this because of the organizations I belong to but we do not have all the crazy rules the JWS have. All the organizations I belong to love children. We just have some dress codes for some events!! LOL

Giordano,
Yes she is from somewhere in Florida, I have followed her since she first started posting. Florida is a large state I am in one section and my daughter is in another but by no means do we have this state covered. We were never JW. I have worked with youth groups and my daughter is in elementary education. If by any chance either of us are anywhere near BlackWolf we would be delighted to spend some time with here.
Yes, you are right, we are under a state of emergency and my crazy daughter is hanging out over near the coast where this hurricane is about to hit.

BlackWolf,
I am sorry you are going through this bad time. I have never been a JW or in a KH but I have worked with a youth group for many years. I agree with most of what is said above.
I would like to suggest a couple of things that might also help your switch to a more positive attitude. First please start a daily journal. Start by writing one or two things that you either noticed or experienced that made you smile. It could be your mom's dress or a flower. Maybe something one of your siblings did something that made you smile. As time goes by maybe instead of one or two things you might be filling that page with a lot of little things that have made you smile. Life is really about a whole lot of little pleasures not just one big thing.
Second thing I know you are being forced to attend all JW stuff by your parents. I read most of the programs or whatever it is called. I do not agree with any of it. Instead of being that flower on the wall. How about trying this out? Next meeting look around the room start with one of maybe the older sisters or another someone else who seems lonely. Walk up after the meeting with a smile on your face (even if you have to fake it) compliment her dress or her purse or shoes. Next meeting do 2 or 3. Adults just love it when youth give them compliments. Trust me it will make you feel better too. So spend the meeting time picking out your targets instead of listening to that boring crap then you won't have to stand there like a wall flower.

Oklahoma - Moms in Prison
by darkspilver inoklahoma incarcerates more women than any state.
what it’s doing to stop moms from going to prison.
oklahoma incarcerates more women per capita than any other state, at a rate of 142 per 100,000. on sept. 25, 2015, lacie maytubby, 35, came into women in recovery on a lesser charge—drug possession, not trafficking—and without ever experiencing prison, but her addiction to heroin and opioids was at its worst.. maytubby had just learned her father was in the late stages of cancer.

I just do not have the time today to give this the proper time it deserves. We have a huricane coming. And a wedding in one week.
MAYBE, someone should have taken the proper time and attitude caring heart with Ms. Mat tubby at the ripe old age of 16 like her parents and the Elders sat her down talked to her, got her some much needed professional help then she would not be where she is today. Unfortunately a lot of our prisons are filled with just this. Kids not having people who really care how they are raised. You make a mistake then and this is totally wrong from the article her JW parents:
When Maytubby’s parents discovered she was using drugs, they kicked her out of the house at 16.

You truly have a heart and that is why you cannot be a witness.

Counting time
by Emma ini may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.
i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.
yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.

Never a JW but I have to ask. Do Elders count their time?

PRESS RELEASE: This is not over, on the contrary. I do not retract.
by sp74bb ini appreciate all the expressions of interest and solidarity.
it has been a very intense week.
i started with the help of many of you, a particular war for my rights as a european citizen.. we have achieved an important space and advertising with a single complaint, which is a great success that i share with you all.. the press has not only spoken about a single complaint, but they gave a full coverage on asocial behavior of jehovah's witnesses and the last, a very hard editorial from the newspaper el periodico director (link).
